My top 3 AV are: Bit Defender, Kaspersky and Nod32. I recommend Nod32 for gaming PC, easy to setup and can scan in the background without hogging your pc.

I dont know about the best but i use NOD32, used to use norton but it seemed useless at cleaning what it found, i tried AVG but seemed to slow things down for me.

    NOD32 seems light but strong.

I use AVG and I'm quite pleased, either freeware or full packages are working properly, but AVG full package is the best protection for Your PC.It makes a little bit slower the PC work, but You can be sure that the PC is protected properly

Kaspersky and BitDefender. Every other is completely useless.
