Hey Guys, I'd like a few suggestions on video editing software options. When I Google it, I get allot of marketing reviews from people promoting their own products. I want the opinions of people that actually use video editing software, not marketers.
Well, it all depends on what are your skills, and how deep do you plan to go with it. But I'm assuming from your post, that you just starting to learn the all thing (My apologize If I'm being wrong ). I will say Sony Vegas for start. It is a brilliant software, that is very easy to learn, and have the great future of editing live, without the need of rendering each and every time. I'm using Premiere from Adobe. The reason for it, is cause I just love Adobe, and how all of their software combined together .
Thanks for the advise. I have premier but its a bit much for what i want to do. I'll look into sony vegas, I need something quick and easy.

More information? What are you editing? What format(s)? Do you need to add titles or effects etc? blablabla? I use After Effects for 90% of my *professional* video work. That's if I'm doing titles, various format imports, audio fiddling, etc.. But, as jumpjump said, AVS does a lot of stuff, for not a lot of money. $59 lets you register ALL their software - "19 Tools Suite + Free Upgrades + Free Support!" I rarely recommend software that isn't free (or VERY expensive!), but AVS stuff is actually pretty good. I've recently started using AVS Video Converter for doing basic edits and conversions on my personal YouTube videos. It has basic trim functions, supports lots of formats, and has a very simple "just want to get it done" interface.
The best one is Windows Movie Maker, powerful and free. If you are referring to a video converter for Youtube, then I will recommend Format Factory, which is also powerful and free.
