Maybe to add further... the Page Ranking system. That's what makes it so popular among webmasters.

 

No I think it is popular with webmasters because they all know that's where the traffic and money is. The best thing about Google is their marketing. They have brainwashed a lot of people into thinking that Google is the only search engine that matters.

 

Definately the amount of traffic you can get from it

 

Traffic, business and excellent brand exposure.

Businesses who relied on directories such as Yellow Pages would be the best ones to answer this question.

I just love the fact is dead simple + fast.

Go to www.google.com and you see a logo, search box and a couple of buttons.

If you go to other search engies you see them bombarded with ads and other services. At least with google they are kept tidy and uncluttered.

 

Being able to find what you're looking for via Google. At least for me.

I like Google because it looks simple and gives the best results. I think google is good in all things that you mentioned

 

Best thing about Google is their marketing strategy. That includes continuous improvements , R & D. See now google is not just a search engine. I has tools to make our web experience better. Eg Gmail,google docs,Chrome,etc.

 

If I could choose the one best thing I like about Google, I would go for it's simple interface
