What's the best technique force the people click on our Author Bio?

    I found that this will be good to implement on article directories to get feedback, traffic or lists. Can anyone tell me the most comprehensive technique about Author Bio?

    The best way to get people click is to attract them. It's easier to attract people with some unusual titles/phrases. Say, if you, the author, are a writer as well, then you can say, I've written an article on "World's funniest alarm clocks'. You can now hyperlink this part to your site. This is the only possible way I see you can make people click on your URL in the author bio.

    You can't force anyone to click.

    Your text copy is a representation of you. Whatever you write needs to be well written, appealing to the target audience, or readers will not even bother glancing at your bio.

    If you want people to click on a link in your bio, you first need to keep them interested beyond the first sentence. Then, you need to give them a reason to click the link. Generate the need, the curiosity to either read more of your work or learn about you, visit your blog or website, or purchase something from you.

    There are so many different ways to write a bio depending on the "rules" of the site where your article will be published and what the goal/purpose is of your bio.

    If you want readers to click a link, you need to give them a reason to do so. With each bio written, know who your target audience is and how to appeal to them. "Speak their language."

    If a bio allows for a picture of yourself, add one. A picture that shows you are a real person and that you take your writing seriously. Something that appeals to your target audience. For example, if you write material for the business / investments / finance niches, you don't want to use a picture of you in a t-shirt or club/party clothes. If you write material for family / children / babies and toddlers niches, you can use a picture of you in more casual attire with an expression on your face that is warm and inviting. Not stuffy, serious, business meeting like. If you write material on a particular sport or sports team, you could wear a baseball cap, golf shirt, polo shirt, or team jersey/shirt... Something appropriate for whatever material you are writing about and will appeal to the target audience.

    Haha! You really can't ever force anyone to click on your bio, or read it for the matter. Make sure you have a display picture of yourself (no empty gravatar or random artistic picture), and whip up a bio that's interesting, quirky and attention grabbing. None of that pretentious, boring rudimentary bios about yourself. This is my short bio on the online magazine i edit at and write for:

    Perspective Editor. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu girl post-transition from Muay Thai. Directionally challenged from birth - knows it, admits it, lives with it. Bunks with an owl-eyed cat with boundary issues and a teddy-like dog that could love a serial killer. Swinging from extreme to extreme, this tough cookie is really a closet romantic inside. Vannessa tweets at @aheartsmurmur, writes at Pickmeadaisy and tumbles here too.

    And this is what is on my Twitter bio:

    Perspective Editor at @PoachedMag. Social Media Marketing at @ReferralCandy. Founder of Kookie. But sometimes i just want to be a Nutella-eating cat.

    Figure out what's interesting about you (unique job history, particular expertise, etc.) and use that to hook them.

    I'm sorry, I don't mean to be harsh, but:

    What's the best technique force the people click on our Author Bio?

    Just this title alone gives me a clue. it's not well written, and the idea it expresses is faulty. Copywriting, sales and persuasion is not about "forcing" people to do something. It's about convincing them to do it without them often even realizing they're being convinced. It's about connecting emotionally, getting into their heads and hearts and identifying with them.

    if your attitude is how to force something, you'll never succeed. Focus on them, what do you deliver. You must be genuinely concerned about your prospective audience.

    Read Dale Carnegie's "How to Win Friends and Incluence People." Very good book for writers.
