    This assumes that you want to improve SERPS in search engines and that those SERPS will have enough demand to drive traffic.

    1) Offsite: Get relevant backlinks to your site with keywords in the link alt tag(lots of ways to do this just check this forum)

    2) Onsite: Use keywords in Title tag and H1 headers as well as in content. Update content on a regular basis. Add "nofollow" parameter to all of your links to other sites and add links for all internal pages back to your homepage without nofollow parameter.

    It's really about that simple.
