I was doing a search last night put this one into google Are we being controlled it comes up on the first page in 4th place with 55,300,000 results www.websiteforumz.com is my site whoo hoo.
The number of results is relatively meaningless. Of far greater importance is how often that term is searched for daily. The Keyword Suggestion Tool shows zero searches daily for that term. This is a common misconception — that is, that the number of search results is the key figure. It is not. How often the term is searched for is of much greater importance. For example, I've always ranked #1 in Google for my first and last name. But on the entire internet, there is only an average of one search a day for my first and last name. So my #1 rank for my name is meaningless. That's why I practice (and suggest to others) that you pick a reasonable number — say, 20 or more daily searches — as a base threshhold to even bother tracking keyword ranking.
I have forum which ranks #1 on Google on a particular phrase. The best part is, the phrase (product) is used by every customer in the niche. Almost 30% of traffic is from that phrase..
