i'll be getting 3,000$ in august and i'm wondering what i should do with it. Should i invest it into a already made site on digital point that makes like 500$ a month?

or should i invest it into one of my own sites? what would you do?

If you invest them and you are sure you can make $500 a month, just do it, then you'll have more earnings to invest into your own sites.

Sites are not equal... you can buy good site, but you can have a badluck and then what? It should be decision considered very well to invest money into a site. but with this budget you can buy a site and good content separately, which can make very good site driven in your custom way and style. In my opinion this could be good compromise.

I'd spend it on toys, but that's me. :)

Since this is a big deal of cash for you, I'd stop and think for a bit. Make sure you're properly educated.

Just because a site makes $x today doesn't mean it will make $x tomorrow. Also, if you find a site selling for just six months of earnings then it's either a scam of sorts or there's a lot of time needed to run the site or the seller is a fool. Could be any of these.

I almost hate to say this but most, yes most, sites being sold on DP (and I suspect many other places) aren't worth crap. They are template and reused content garbage.

There are the occasional gems and fair-priced goodies, but most are just money pits.

Take your time and think it through--unless $3k comes often, then risk away.

You'll have to do your maths and work out how risky all of your options are.

If you blow all $3000 on one site that makes $500 a month, do you know that this site will keep making $500 a month for the next 6 months? Because it better do if you want your money back.

I know nothing about these things, but $3000 sounds a lot in terms of websites. Your best bet might be to spread the risk - like with investing in the stock market - and put some money into a risky project and some money into a safer project. Then if the risky one doens't pay off, you still have something to fall back on and some capital to start you off again.

Just my 2c. worth, hope it helps.

You're unlikely to find a site that makes $500 a month for sale at $3000. The general rule is to multiply the monthly earnings by 12 then add a certain amount.

You can also hire people to write content for several websites. I saw on these forums people writing articles at $5-10 each. You may get better price ordering articles in bulk and you could build a big website. Then invest the rest in advertising.

A previous post said it best:

"Just because a site makes $x today doesn't mean it will make $x tomorrow. Also, if you find a site selling for just six months of earnings then it's either a scam of sorts or there's a lot of time needed to run the site or the seller is a fool. Could be any of these."

Just be careful as you never know if you'll make your money back or other situations may arise.
