I am starting several link exchange campaigns for clients of mine. What would be a good starting point?
Why are you offering such a service if you don't know where to start? Try google and search for various topics e.g. http://www.google.com/search?q=link+exchange Eric
Well... I used to do this myself a long time ago and I am actually trying to get a good starting point - as in a good list of directories - for my employee who will be doing this. My client wants us to do it because he has been burned in the past by people who promise to do this for him.
Well, just as an advice. Look for your best compatitors who rank in top 10 of google. then find sites which link to them, and send link exchange requests to them. This is the start. I think
I highly recommend using SEO Elite software and Keyword Elite. I'm not promoting these software as an affiliate here because I'm still not able to, but you can Google the names of these software and get them.
?? Is there a post restriction on this? I had an affil link in my sig for a couple weeks recently I think and no one objected. I didn't make any sales anyway. Eric p.s. anyone please contact/PM me if you have a good paying affil link I should place in my sig (assuming I am allowed to do so .
Not really a link exchange, but you might want to start off by adding them to a handful of quality directories, like Microsoft's Small Business Directory, BOTW.org, etc. If you have the talent and time, it's also a good idea to submit some articles on their behalf through websites like EzineArticles.com and SearchWarp.com. The good thing about doing some articles early on is that they'll continue to generate links on their own ... like a "fire and forget" weapon. With some directories and article submissions in the bag, you can move on to one-on-one exchanges with the comfort of knowing there's some link popularity brewing. Good luck! -Brandon
Thank you. I got my employee the freebie version of WebCEO to help him stay organized with his links requests.
I'm getting quite good success with Link Vault, which is an automated link exchange service. How it works is simple: I install their code on my site to display a number of links to other websites, and in exchange my links get displayed on other websites. Websites are categorised so that backlinks are vaguely relevant. There are also banner exchange programs, but I found them too intrusive, and the dynamic nature of banners is a problem if you're trying to build backlinks. There is, however, no substitute for good honest link exchanges with other web masters for getting relevant and quality reciprocal links... Cryo.
i am considering getting webceo too, do you recomend it? I am trying to help my mom get more hits to her watercolor website
I use WebCEO, and I like it because it's free. It's very good for tracking link popularity and search result rankings. Cryo.
