Depends if you need shared hosting, a VPS or a dedicated server and if you also need support included and a control panel e.g cPanel?

There is a lot of "BEST" hosting company but the concern part is whether they could accommodate your request or not. Location is not a concern but it is your requirement needs.

I believe you should choose host which is in business for long. I know Allwebnow as reliable company which plans are stable and provided by skilful support. You can use coupon 50percentoff to get half price discounted.

I own a couple of forums and other websites aswell, I was with fatcow for a while but i was having bandwidth issues due to the high amount of taffic/badwidth that i was using. I am currently getting around 100,000 visits a month to my forum and 50,000 to my wallpaper website these are on the same server.

I went with host gator due to their reliability and reputation on a shared hosting plan (no backups due to the size 20gb max and inode usage 250k max allowed for backup) although they are unlimited there are usually restrictions on backups and other things you must read the fine print with any new server. about $3.95 per month.

I have upgraded to a VPS package now for these sites to run on with no issues, for around 1 year (and now i get free backups 1 million inodes allowed)

I have a hosting review website if you wish to take a better look. Anyway it has worked fine for me it all depends on the size, inode usage, bandwidth etc that you are expecting to or already receiving good look

There are thousands of web hosting companies out there, but only a few dozen are true hosting companies like Hostingsource.com web host.
It places high value on customer support and it shows. They've always had excellent support. Top of the line. Their features can't be beat (basically, you can do anything you'd ever need to do).

I doubts it, can i have your domain name so that I may verify your review. Meanwhile, OP is asking for forum hosting not web hosting.

If you are planning to get something like IPBoard and VBulletin, those people provide their own hosting for cheap prices. You get the forum installed in the server and they manage most of the hard stuff!

If you are willing to pay around 40-50 usd per month then try a KnownHost VPS.

I suggest you to go with hosting company who provide free trial. Also cPanel based hosting fully support all forums including phpBB
