Hi, What's your opinion regarding multilanguage website? Is it better to build it in html, php or what? Thanks folks
Well, if you're fluent in these languages, then you could easily create the site using PHP + HTML + CSS. You can use JavaScript or PHP to find where they person is visiting from and that script will automatically bring up the page that contains their language. Content Management Systems like Drupal and Joomla have plugins that do this for you.
Simplest way to go is HTML + Java . Simple and effective . The best thing will come out from a well php script combined whit some flash . Do this one wright and ppl will be delighted . Do it wrong and you'll lose traffic fast .
My personal choice is WordPress and the qtranslate plug-in. Very easy to set up, and easy to manage. See http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/qtranslate/ for the plug-in.
Drupal has very good support for multi-language websites, and there are modules to track your translation progress so you can see how much of your content has been translated, convenient if you need to hire a translator.
