Not sure if you have this in India, but you can order it from anywhere else.
    Asus K50IN-SX002
It basically has a dual core Intel T4200, 4GB RAM, 250GB HDD and a 512MB nVidia VC

I'm currently rocking a Dell Studio myself.

4GB memory, but running with 3 on Windows 7 64bit (yeah, it takes 1/4th of your memory...But you won't notice...3GB running 7 > 4GB on Vista *BY FAR*

To get an idea, my CPU usage with Vista upon STARTUP with 4GB Dell Studio - 30%
Right now, my laptop with 3GB running too much (yay facebook chat...worst app EVER) ~ 10%

    It speaks for itself.
    7 is GOD.
It comes installed with nearly NOTHING. Barely any processes run. Yet it does EVERYTHING. I'm so happy I only had to deal with Vista for 3 days.

This laptop, the Dell Studio, was exactly what I needed for now, only cost around $700.

Some complaints are a sort of annoying touch-pad if the sensitivity isn't increased and that the F key functions are set standard on their extra functions like raising or decreasing screen brightness/sound volume (you need to press ctrl-fn-f4 to close a program :\).

And as always, get a Dell and you will be met with so much bloatware...So have fun formatting it almost ASAP and putting in a fresh version of an OS.

Between Acer and HP, get HP.

The G70 is a pretty decent model if you aren't looking to break the bank.
    If you are, HP.

...There's a smaller boutique laptop company I am forgetting the name of and it's bugging the monkeys out of me right now...Try to look for smaller, more private laptop companies to emerge (ESPECIALLY after 7 comes out).

I think ASUS will solve the problem.
