What's the best grammar book to buy (US)

    Hi all,
I'm a copywriter by trade but I could still use some help with the tougher points of English grammar... (couldn't we all? :)

I want to buy a top notch grammar guide to have on hand in my office. Which, in your opinion, is the best for U.S. English (not British)?

I've also been meaning to purchase the Chicago Manual of Style -- how does its grammar section measure up? Is it good enough on its own, or do I need to buy an additional grammar guide?

    Best,
    ZZpost

I'm not familiar with the Chicago book, but you might want to check out
"The Elements of Style" and "AP Stylebook" (Associated Press). Both are widely used.

You could also go on sites such as Half.com and purchase a college level textbook.
