I just built a site and am now marketing it I want to get an autoresponder to retain local customers what is a good free or low cost autoresponder program for creating newsletters and running promotions?
try mailchimp, I believe u can build a list of around 1,000 for free. Just make sure to READ THE TERMS! I think it mentions something about you can't promote affiliate links, but as long as you direct them to your sites you should be fine. Hope this helps! B.Hunter
I have used both MailChimp and iContact, and they are both good. If you need an auto-responder, avoid Constant Contact, as far as I could tell, they had no instant send option, meaning your first message wouldn't go out for 24 hours. Not sure if it is changed, or their interface just sucked and I couldn't figure it out.
I use Getresponse because it's free for up to a certain number of subscribers. But Aweber is excellent as well.
If you are really looking for a free autoresponder then try listwire.com Mailchimp.com is free for the first 2000 contacts now I believe, but from what I have heard they hate affiliate marketing and will shut you down quickly
