    What's the best free forum script out there ?

    VB is kinda expensive any other alernative ??

    Phpbb ?
    SMF ?

    Any idea ?

    I never like phpbb. Its security feature always fails in fighting spam postings. Go for SMF. You'll be amazed.

    Well i was using phpbb 3, but i can'T add more category...

    At this time i only have 2 category, when i try to create a new category the category don't appear on the index page... the only 2 previous one are showing up...

    SMF, definitely. The automatic mod/theme installer helps ALOT. If not, try MyBB. I've never tried it, but it looks almost identical to vBulletin, and it's free.

    The main problem with SMF is, many of the mods are not compatible with the new version :confused:

    MODS are made by independent, unpaid volunteers. You don't really need a lot of MODs, do you? Get some MODs from Karl Benson. They're all you need.

    phpBB for me, but you need to add a spam filter like Anti-Spam ACP. Ever since I installed it I've had zero spam.

    vBulletin is one of the best forum software around and it's best for many different reasons.It's very easy to use and very help to efficient to create a forum.Actively based, vbulletin is also a great developed software.
