Whats the best forum software.

    I cant deiced weather or not to use phpBB, invision, VB, or any other.... i dont mind to pay for it.. i just want one thats fast.. reliable... easy to mod.. good skins... fast...

    what do yall use

    VBulletin - that's why it's used here. It does cost a couple of hundred bucks for a license, but you do get after support.

    As everyone Prefer VBulletin I'll say VBulletin too :p
    Ya its does cost some $$$ for License :(

    never use phpbb, am really frustrated with it. if you can pay, go for the vbuiltten, that's probably the best available, though very expensive, but it's worth the price!:)

    I've owned Invision forums before, but I bet that they'd probably do better if I were using vBulletin. For some reason, it just generates a lot more activity around the forum.

    So long as you are willing to pay, go for vBulletin, its just generally excellent! But if you don't want to pay, then I would reccomend phpBB, its always worked fine for me, and I think it is quite trustworthy.

    I have only used SMF (Simple Machines Forum), and so it's the one I like the best. I think it really depends on the type of forum you have and who your visitors will be. Personally for me, I think SMF is the best suited to my needs. To me SMF has a friendlier feel to it, whereas VBulletin has a more professional feel.

    So for a webaster forum, maybe Vbulletin is a good choice, but for other forums it's not always the best choice.
