Hi there, We are running an ecommerce website and I was just wondering what is the best form of payment for it? We had PayPal set up but we got a lot of complaints that the payment area wasn't working. I look forward to your replies. Thanks.
I would definitely give a try for Stripe. They are the best, especially if you've got customers from Asia.
I'd find a way to get Paypal working. Far too many people use it, so ignoring it is going to cost you money. I've tried other processors in the past but none of them are anywhere near as widely used as Paypal. I honestly think it will cost you sales if you don't use it.
A paypal gateway integrated into a 3rd party merchant account.... Gives you lower rates the branding of paypal and the ability to accept paypal payments. If you are US based pm me I can help you in that area.
If you are outside US and Canada then i would suggest going for 2checkout. Their system is very established and cover payments from anywhere in the world.
Amazon Payments is another to consider. Like PayPal, it is also best as an alternative to a primary such as Stripe.
have a look at Paysera payments - i also had to switch from PayPal to another payment provider and i found them suitable for me. also worth considering - authorize.net.
My favorite payment methods for ecommerce sites: 1. Authorize.Net 2. PayPal 3. Google Checkout 4. 2Checkout 5. WePay
Direct CC is always a good option. If you're eligible for a merchant account, go that route; otherwise, Stripe is a good alternative.
