The best way to get good quality videos is to record them in the highest quality avi file with no compression. Then once you have edited the video, export it as a high quality avi file. Then use a program to convert that avi file into an mp4 or flv (I prefer mp4 videos now - great quality and file size).

Oops, the software I use for the conversions is 'Prism Video Converter'.

One other thing I forgot to mention is to try and keep your video the same size throughout.
For example if you record it at 640 x 480, then convert it to an mp4 with that same resolution. This will limit the amount of quality loss.

I used VideoCharge Studio for it.

I think that for get the best video, you have to

    1. select a video codec.

    2. set no small bitrate value

    3. use two-pass encoding.

For first, if you can use FLASH 10 for playback video, use h264 video codec. (you can use for flash MP4 files with H264 video and AAC audio)

or you have to use on2vp6 video codec.

For second, use no small bitrate value, (file size will be bigger but video will have better quality)

and use two-pass encoding. It no fast way of create video, but get better quality.

and of couse, you have to good source video!

I think, that good way for you, download VideoCHarge Studio and try to create small 10 sec video clips with other settings

H.264, ON2 and Flash 8 alpha video encoding, if you want to encode flv, you can try Flash Video MX Pro, it can encode video to flv with H.264 video encoding for bandwidth saving, Flash 8 with alpha video encoding for video overlay, Flash 8 video encoding for high quality and Cue Points for different events and navigations, If you want a try, here:

    Hope it can help you.
