    ^ What it says :D

I've used outlook express before and wasn't massively impressed, though it did the job.

But no spam filters, hundreds of junk mails every day after a while.

    Any suggestions?

It have best spam filter which I know. I have about 50 spam emails per day and 99.5% of them filtered.
Just forward to gmail account and recieve emails by any client.

i dont think most desktop email programs wil not block spams though.
Since they are all requesting the emails from your main email server to be sent to them, it is better off IMO for you to configure the spam option in your actual email. Ex: log into gmail, yahoo mail or hotmail and config to disallow spam.

Desktop programs are however capable of redirecting spams (once you blacklist) to spam folder or junk folder to be deleted.

I <3 Outlook 03 & , more specially, 07. the look of 07 is amazing, and the spam filtering works rather well, with a little teaching, it easily picks up on the Spam that my server misses :D

Thunderbird would be great, enable the spam filter and folder, it is fairly accurate, I hardly get a false positives, anyway you can still check for any false positives at the spam folder.

I like Mail in Mac OSX, but if you don't own a Mac then try to look after Thunderbird which is also very good.

Agree with you, I redirect all my email accounts to gmail where the email is filtered and then re-redirected to an undisclosed, hard-to-figure account which downloads less than 1% spam via Foxmail.

But dont forget to check spam folder.
    My story:
After my posting about gmail, I decided to change email for my payment processor, but today somebody in my brain said me - "Check spam folder of your gmail, who know what you can find there except viagra etc." And I have found several invoices(I need procceed payments manually) from my customers..
