What's the best commission percentage to offer on a $100-$200 product?

I've created a 9 mp3 audio series plus workbook and two ebook package. I plan to sell it for $100-$200 (was thinking $147).

My question is: What's the best commission percentage that will attract affiliates on Clickbank? I was planning on doing about 25% (this would leave me $100 on each sale), but I'm concerned with all the people offering 50%+ commissions, I'll get lost in the shuffle.

    Thoughts?

Well that must be one hell of a good package for $147 and as for commission anything under 50% isnt gonnna get you much love.

You cant be greedy as a vendor, if youre a vendor in clickbank it's not about how much per sale, but rather how many sales, and the more affiliates you got the more sales you get.

I would definitely make the commission higher maybe 60% even. You can't be greedy when it comes to affiliates. They are doing the hard work of marketing and they deserve to be paid and paid on time. Once you cover those two basic steps, success will follow. A lot of companies are doing higher commissions now. Take a look at SIte2Text, they are set to launch soon but their commission is up to 85%! Oh and yeah, it better be one hell of an ebook for $147 :)

OK, 50% it is then--if not a little more.

Well, it's more than 7 hours of audio teaching, plus 85-page workbook and 2 bonus ebooks. I thought that seemed a pretty good deal given that I often see a one hour audio teaching and one bonus book for about $50. Am I being delusional? :p

60-75 % comm will attract affiliates. If you think your product is high priced and even 50% shud be enough, then think again. you will get an edge if comm is higher.

I'd rather you make the make the main product $97 with a subsequent upsell for $47

Give a 60% commission on both the front end and the upsell.

I've found that this approach works well for high-priced info products. Of course, that's my personal take.

Thats actually not that bad of an idea. As long as you know how to up sell, you should do pretty darn well.

Make it 75%. Like someone else mentioned, you can't get greedy.

The more you offer, the more money you should make in the long run. Definitely above 50% anyway.

The sweet spot for you is nearer 75% than 50%, put it that way. So I say go for 65/70 if not 75.

I doubt you'd get many affiliates for less than 60-75% - if I were you I'd go with 75%. At 25% you might think $100 a sale sounds nice, but I'd be surprised if you'd get any affiliate at that low a commission. Clickbank affiliates are used to a decent commission and expect it - if they don't get it from you they'll find it elsewhere.

75% all the way. There are some good sellers on clickbank that only offer 50% or 51%... but I'm sure they would increase sales dramatically if they offered better commission.

I would go for 75% commission. You'll attract more affiliates therefore you'll make more sales if your product is that good.
    Good Day :)

Excellent answers. OK, so if I go for, say 75%, then do I up my product price to earn more commission? Or do I lower it to try and build on volume?

My set is 9 45-minute audio sessions plus an 85-page workbook, plus 2 bonus ebooks.

I was planning on charging $147 (leaves me about $35 income). I could go to $197 ($48 for me) or even down to $97 ($24 for me) But I don't want to price myself out of sales or go so low that it's not worth doing. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Lower commission will equal less profits. Always.

Get the product price down to $97 (limited offer, usual price $147) and offer 75% commission plus bonuses to top affiliates.
