their are a lot of stumblers right now but what about del.icio.us and digg etc.
should i spend my time on stumbleupon.com or work on all of them?

Aren't all of them no follow links anyways! :)

Digg is not nofollow and brings the best traffic and backlinks one you hit the frontpage.

Yeah Stumble is good but I prefer Digg. I completely agrees with "ichigo" ...

    1. Digg Comments System Is Much Better..I have never left a StumbleUpon
comment ( till now.. yeah definately did some stupid spammy work earlier )
while I constantly leave Digg comments.
    2. Many of those who view your story might have their own blogs and could
possibly link to your story or they might e-mail or IM it to a friend.
    3. Digg story pages rank highly on Google.... Since the content on these pages
is almost entirely a link to your content the people who do find the page via
Google or another search engine are quite likely to click through to your site.
So it’s kind of like have a top ranking position only it’s not 100% clickthrough.
    4. Digg traffic last much longer... Long after you get your last Stumble your Digg
story will get traffic via search engines, other people’s blogs, and other
sources. I have front page Digg stories from 2005 that still deliver traffic
    every day.

I like Digg, but I can't get up to the front page, and that's were the juice comes from. If anyone has a secret to get there...I'd be interested to hear about it.

It truly depends on your niche compared to the average users of the social network/bookmarking site you are using.

I have a series of occult sites and the only place in Digg most of that fits is "weird news" which, in there, will NEVER make it to the front page, so Digg is very close to worthless IMHO, at least for my sites.

Stumble however has given me THOUSANDS up hits.

Del.icio.us has not done all that much for me either that I've noticed, but I've not really checked. However, I personally love it and use it all the time to remind me of random things from my own forum, here at DP, and to make notes about other sites. I have important threads/posts bookmarked there so I can easily find them later and not clutter my favorites folder.

I've used Reddit, Digg and Del.icio.us to bookmark pages with only limited success. I've found that Del.icio.us sends little or no traffic - not sure why. I've also found Digg to be a bit of a dead loss in traffic terms - again little or nothing.
Reddit provides much more traffic although only for a very short period, sometime a day or two, sometimes only for a few hours. Traffic from Reddit I've found is also not of very high quality. My bounce rate tends to go up, my page views comes down and my Adsense CTR drops. This means that the visitors are clicking only as they work their way down the recent list and not because of my subject matter.
Reddit would be good if your subject is technology or US politics - otherwise it's fairly useless and has a high moron count in its users.
