Try out Serendipity, you can also try it for free, and if you like it and want to use it just check out the forums or my site for more info.
Nothing beats Blogger in my opinion. The best feature is the fact that the template is almost 100% customizable.
WordPress hands down. I'm trying out Textpattern on one of my sites. Not as user friendly as I first thought but I'm still learning the program and have not installed really any plugins yet. I'm still trying to figure out how to edit the template.
You should have a look at http://www.semiologic.com It is based on wordpress and eliminate most of the hastle
I've been playing with WordPress myself and I must say that from what I've seen it does have good support, templates, etc. etc. I was just curious.... has anyone checked out Joomla? If so.. what did you think? JB
I love Wordpress hosted on my own server. Wordpress.com is not a very good one compared to Blogger.com But when one shifts wordpress blog to one's own server nothing can beat it!
Hi i am looking into making a few bloggs and would liek to know hat the best blog software is ? Al links to blog software sites would be a good help. Thanks P.S i hope this is the right place to post this.
Which one is best is quite subjective and really depends on you honestly, however, Wordpress is very good and most hosts worth having support it with a one click install.
If you are planning to create multiple blog sites, the best software should be WordPress MU in this case. (You can create unlimited blogs like yoursubdomain.yourmaindomain.com using this software. And if you don't need such a complex blogging application, just go with WordPress because it's the best blogging software on the Net IMO.
i throw my vote in for wordpress too. Making themes for it is pretty easy too once you read about it and there are SO many plugins.
Serendipity because it has the most features. s9y.org is the site. You can also try it out at opensourcecms.com
