What's the benefit if i submit my site to directories?

Is this only to increase page rank or is there anything else?

Will i get traffic too or not?
If yes then how much do you expect from 100 directories?

The main benefit are the backlinks that can help your site get indexed and rank better. Traffic is also a consideration, however noone can tell how much traffic you might get from directories and from which directories. One of my sites receive quite good traffic from directories while another one which is lited in more and higher profile directories doesn't receive any traffic at all.

A little traffic and backlinks as per dkessaris quoted. however you should more expect backlinks. it will help you in improving SE Rankings, but it also depends on type of directory you submit.

 

Traffic is a lottery but the simple facts are the more directories you are listed in the more traffic and search engine indexing you will have

We list continuously on directories it is important to keep on track on the internet

 

At this moment it’s very rare to submit to a free directory, only if I buy featured links or a low populated category, I feel free directories don’t offer much value.
