Hey, I am thinking about hiring a content writer for a few websites i am currently working on, what is the average price range, i just want cheap copy peppered with my selected keywords on whatever topic i decide on. Is it true you can hire people in india that will write 10-15 articles for $10. thanks
It's true and it's not just from people in India. You may be better off looking through some of the PLR offers here on DigitalPoint. Remember - if you're content is cheap and doesn't make sense the visitor is not going to stick around. You get what you pay for...
Its not people from India who will do it, its just some people from all around the globe. No, I'm not from India either lol. Anyway, you wont get quality there but rather spam contents which wont attract visitors.
That depends what you mean by "write." A lot of those types of "writers" actually just steal content from elsewhere and re-word it (still a copyright violation). There may be exceptions, but most things I've seen at rates like that are complete and utter garbage.
I used a article writer service 25$ for 10+1 "origanal articles but later i found out it was a scam because they just went to article site's and copied all 11 articles.
You do get what you pay for, and in the end, you might be paying out more than you thought. Like the others said, some of those people steal content from other sites, and while you can try and check for duplicates, they often pull stuff that is not on the web. They'll recopy information from newspapers or magazines. If you get caught with this content, you'll can be fined. Writers are now charging as much as $250 for each instance their article was used without their permission. Here's a tip, you don't always need lots of content in order to make a site successful and to rank high in search engines. Good content keeps people coming back for more, or to use your resources. I have websites that only have maybe 15 pages of content and people keep visiting because I provide useful, helpful content. Put your money together and have someone write one or two quality articles for $50 - $100 each and concentrate on developing helpful resources. Otherwise you are paying $100's on a ton of junk articles Google will probably shuffle to the bottom of the search engine results.
Yes, you can find people to write you articles at that rate. However, if you don't want to end up having to pay them and write them yourself (because what you receive is not even readable), you may want to reconsider. On another note, if you are not looking for well thought out, professional pieces... sure you can find "okay" writers. That is because their cost of living is lower. You can find U.S. writers to do it at these rates as well, but not as easily. Any route you decide to take, ensure that you see samples of their writing. You should also get your agreement in writing.
You can find people who charge 2.50 or 5 dollars per article, but careful as to how good the writing is, knowledge of the topic etc. This matters becuase while unique content is important, content that is "useful" to the readers is even more important
It depends on whether you are looking for content such as article content or content such as copywriting. Article content is an article. Copywriting engages a target audience and presents whatever you have to sell on your website as a benefit to the end user. So there is more than one definition of web content.
Just like everybody else mentioning here, it is not just an Indian writers that offer you articles for cheap, even writers from USA and UK also have charge that amount today. But you have to remember, you'll get what you're paying for and if you paid $10 for the articles, then don't screaming around saying you have been ripped off because your articles is not unique. Just go to http://forums.digitalpoint.com/forumdisplay.php?f=76 if you're looking for some pre-written articles or http://forums.digitalpoint.com/forumdisplay.php?f=102 if you want articles that suit your need within your budget.
If you are looking for cheep content. Put a add in at your local college. Make sure they are a english major, since people are going to be reading these articles. Most college kids are hungry and will do it for 10 bucks an hour usually good articles too.
"and will do it for 10 bucks an hour usually good articles too" But probably they can't write 10-15 articles in 1 hour and for $10. $1 per article...hmm..it will be copy of article from some web archive. And probably no - you can't hire people in India for that price for good articles. They become more expensive each year last few years. Growing markets.
Most decent writers will charge between 2-3 cents a word. That's a 250 word article for $7.50. I run a ghostwriting service that is in that range myself. You CAN find people to write a 400 word article for $1 but it will usually look like someone took some boggle dice and rolled them around to create words. It's good for a laugh but I wouldn't dare post it on my website. It might work as a "content that stinks" area on a website. ...that's not a bad idea!
Not even close to "most decent writers" work in that low of a range. Often the 2-3 cent per word articles are as laughable as those written for a cent per word or less. Just keep in mind that what you see advertised here doesn't reflect most writers (or even necessarily most Web-based writers - that's why most of the better deals are done privately).
I said decent, not amazing haha. Right now I do articles for $20 each and they run about 400 words. That's pretty good for typical web content that takes 20 minutes to create. My site with the 2-3 cent range is so I can compete with the bidding sites. It only takes a website producer one bad experience with the $5/500 word garbage before they seek out something better. Hey can I link to your blog? I run onlinewritingjobs.net (which is tiny) now and I hope to use that to give people, especially the work at home crowd, some good reviews and options. I'm trying to find the best places to send them and your blog is a great one I missed!
If you do hire the writers that will give you 10 articles for 10 bucks make sure they agree to terms such as: If the content is unusable, payment will be declined. That way you won't be hassled via e-mail for ages.
I am from India, but dont think $1 is worth...it is really ridiculous to ask someone for $1/article. Quality matters indeed as other members said you'll get nothing in $1.
I checked out iFreelance and posted a couple projects there. I received bids from around the world... several individuals in the U.S. quoted me $6-$8 per blog post (it included some research). I thought that was more than reasonable....
Elance is a pretty decent place to find content writers. Just be careful. The lowest bidder usually isn't the way to go. Ask for samples.
