What do you consider a "hit"? In the old days, every separately-loaded element (ie image) on a page was considered a "hit". That's why a lot of these comparison statistics are good just for laughs because few people use the same metric.
Pageviews/visit or the time spent per visit is important, hits a visit isnt. You could have a page with 1000's of images and get 1000's hits/visit, it means nothing.
Page loads divided by hits? OR are you saying page loads or hits? It all depends on your definition of hits. To me, page view is a good definition...page view equal one page viewed. Impression is too vague...is that "ad impressions"? Unless you have ads on every page it's not an easily compared measure of things. Hits? That can be about anything you want it to be. A page view, each line in your logfile (which can be dozens for each web page depending upon number of images) etc etc etc
No no, nothing is divided, I meant that impressions are 'page loads', or - page loads are often also called "hits", so whatever u name it, it's the number of the times your websites pages were loaded. sorry for teh confusion.
