Mine so far, is that the domain name is the #1 most important factor. What have you guys learned from Google SEO?
I learned it is not as easy as I thought it would be no kidding... on page optimation, unique content and title optimation are as important as off page optimation like building backlinks. Since my traffic and SERP's went down I know I didn't do a perfect job so I will have to keep studying and to improve my site.
Trying hard to keep it White Hat. LOL No automation for backlinks, comment postings, article submissions, directory submissions etc. It's just freaking hard hard to come up with some really good backlinks from sites they have some decent PR. If you have some good advices and you are willing to tell me, feel free to shoot a PM.
learned alot of stuff mainly do my own blog commenting most companies are spammers. Second rule is look at the reviews of people selling them.
Keywords and quality backlinks OK so its 2 i dont think you can say just one thing really its many and they are all as important as one another.
The no1 lesson in SEO is that there's no point in being at the top of serps for a keyword that only gets searched for 3 times a month.
The #1 thing? — That's a tough call, but probably having the right keywords in the right places (title, etc.). P.S. That assumes that you have good content.
I may not agree to the first thing you just learned Domain name have very little importance in SEO. If the main KW and domain name are exactly the same, then that domain may rank high with less effort compared to the effort needed to rank other sites high. But this is only the case for the main KW. Domain name alone cannot help a site to rank high.
