Whats the 1 pixel pic?

    hello

    Whenever I make a text link there is always a 1x1 pixel spot near it and it also there in the code. Here's the code, ill bold out the image thing:

    Does that do anything? Is it necessary to record clickthroughs?

    The image is treated like a php script and whenever it is called it tracks user information. This allows affiliate networks to provide statistics to its users.

    a few years ago, when I ran CJ on sites, I got rid of it all the time, didnt seem to affect anything. But who knows now.

    It will stop tracking impressions. Personally I think it's a bad idea to remove it since stats are very valuable and play an important role in knowing how to monetize your traffic.

    You can hide it by placing the link inside a div and with css you can put a text-indent of -9999px to every image inside that div.

    its not a problem to remove it, it is just used to track impressions.

    I never used it and I'm still live.
