What's next for Adsense?

Same as title, what will be the next thing for Adsense? and also, What would you like to see added?

I personally wouldn't mind you being able to put your adsense revenue into your adwords account.

New ad formats? Better Tracking? More payment options? Change in TOS? Remove the Ads by Gooooogle?

I'd really like to hear what others think could be heading our way.

 

I'd like an option to remove the ads by google strong, and I'd like a feature to use a ad format as a base, but customize the exact pixel width/height. So it would fit in designs better.

Paypal payment would be nice.. but if they come out with their Google Payment services, that might not be needed.


I have no idea whats coming, but I thinkt the above would be what I'd use

I've always liked the idea of an "ad bank" so to speak. I had suggested this years ago at a place I worked at that had a lot of overtime work. I suggested an overtime bank, where you could bank your hours. I hated overtime pay and being hourly as the more I made, the more the libtaxofobes would suck me dry of my hard earned cash.

That said, the legality issues are what kept them from doing this. I thought it would be cool for those times you wanted to take off. You could just take a day or two off and use your money from your overtime bank at your regular pay for the day.

I would imagine there would be questions of income tax issues, etc., with Google as well. It would probably be a bit complicated to structure in that regard.

 

And give eBay a slice of the pie? Yikes. No thanx.

 

I agree with Sanzbar. Better stats, more channels, more ways to access the data. Easier set-up for channels, perhaps a data base or spreadsheet-type interface with graphs.

 

Payment into paypal would be a blessing.
Faster payments (5 days or less after month) would be great...
Better fraud control to PROTECT publishers!

 

Here is my wish list:

1. Ability toput adsense revenue into adwords account.
2. Ability to change font, atleast 2-3 choices
3. Transparent background, so that one can easily match with site colors or background image
4. Custom Size of Ads

 

What I would really like to see is performance tracking by day/week/month. This way you can get an idea of what days your site performs the best.

 

Better stats and more design flexability - definately winners





Oh, and an extra check every month for DP forum users....can't think of a really good justification for that, but since we're making this stuff up anyways....

 

The ability to choose image only ads...given there is adequate inventory.

 

you should be able to see the IPs (at least partially) with the most clicks, and block them if you feel they are trying to get you out of adsense with fraud.

 

Ah, I've got one. The ability to track Adlinks separate from Adsense. Of course I suppose you could create a separate channel for it.

 

Whats next?..........Eh payment in progress the first of each month instead of letting me wait for a whole month. Imagine the amount of interest they collect at the end of each month with the money of others. If Yahoo would be smart they wouldnt let their new advertisers wait for a whole month.

What else do i have to pick on? More detailed channel stats, the one we got now are from the stoneage. It still doesnt tell you much. Thank god im running a tracker beside the channel. Enter mutiple url's at one time. Some text file or excel file. Track more then 1000's of urls. .....

There is so much more they could do to improve adsense if you ask me.

 

I'm not sure exactly what you mean, but you can already get AdSense reports in CSV format.

But what is really next for Adsense is competition. At the moment they own the long tail and that means we basically work on Googles' terms. Which is no big deal and is not going to change unless and untill they have real competition.

 

i want them to provide with some option for us to tell the keywords related to our website. They should provide us a list of keywords that are related to our website and then we should have a choice to delete the ones we don't want to show ads for.

 

gdtechind, that would rock for publishers, but suck for advertisers.. as publishers would chose not to show low-paying keywords, so advertisers would have to pay more. Since Google, overall, caters to the advertisers.. I doubt this would happen.
