    HTML5 has provided new tags for some elements which may replace some divs elements, such as <header> and <nav> mainly used for navigation sections. For page bottom and any section there are <footer> tags. For main page content there are other tags like <article>, <section> and <aside>. Those tags have semantic meaning and they may be used for those page parts. There are also addition tags: <address> for addresses, <figure>, <time>, <meter>, <progress>
    Accompanying new CSS3 has also provided new elements: like text shadow and drop shadow for box elements, curved corners for box section, multi-backgrounds for box elements, gradient for setting background-colour, and opacity allowing any page elements to be partly transparent.

    HTML 5 comes with so many new elements which makes easy to create professional and interactive web pages for the website. Now, HTML 5 can directly support the sound, video and drawing with the help of canvas, audio and video elements. These elements are most important elements added in this version of HTML.

    I think it's far from being useful. Not everything works as it should yet.

    HTML 5 adds a lot of new features to the HTML specification. And what's even better, there is already some limited browser support for these new features. HTML 5 recognizes the Web pages has a new structure, just like books have a structure or other XML documents. HTML 5 has created tags to support those elements of the page.

    Thanks in advance,
    David

    For browsers that struggle (IE) you can simply add the following between your <head> tag;
    And to be sure, the following to your stylesheet;
    ..and it will play nice with HTML5.

    I think for now you are best using flash and offering the html5 version as a treat. Many, many people still use flash and it will take a long time for it to fade out completely.
