Traffic -The amount of unique visitors you receive a month Advertising methods -The placement of your ads, the type of ads you use and type of ad-service you use, relevancy of your ads, etc I'm wondering how important is each is in determining a sites profitability. I'm thinking that a sites particular advertising method i more important than the traffic itself. Say two sites both have 20.000 uniques a month but one site is only using adsense placed under their header while the other site uses adsense on header, but also skyscrapers at the side, affiliates such as ebay and amazon fo specific related products and highly targeted forum advertising then the difference in income will be substantial. It also depends on what services they are using. Am I wrong and are advertising methods not that important at determining site income compared to traffic?
both are equally important. you cannot have any revenue without traffic, and no traffic will come without marketing/advertising.
