to me the hardest thing is marketing. knowing what to use where and when. what to advertise and the best way to do it. creating a solid landing page and/or splash and/or squeez page. getting solid traffic that wants what your have. that is my biggest obstacle in making money online.

Thanks, for the advice. I put my time into giving the best info that I possibly can. I focus on content. Just the way that I roll. I love the forum, but I'm human and make mistakes.

So how do people feel: building a solid authoritative site in a niche or building multiple little dinky sites focusing on micro-niches (the long tail)?

My main problem is too many websites and not enough time.... most are on autopilot and I should be happy with what's already producing, but greed steps in and there's too many untapped niches out there to take advantage of. Don't want to outsource because I don't want others to know about my business.

I do make $100 a day and more from cpywriting...but for my own sites ( that's what I want to do fulltime), my biggest problem is getting enough traffic.

My main problem is that I'm working offline and I don't have enough time to devote to my online business anymore.

Circumstances is going to vary from person to person depending on their life style. For some, it will be the wife and 4 kids that keeps them from devoting as much time as they like on their site. I do agree that in today's market, you can not focus on one method. There is SEM, Social Marketing, forum signature, blog marketing, newsletters, adwords, article writing etc. In most cases they all have one goal, generate traffic. So in my mind, no matter how many marketing methods you are involved with, unless you generate traffic, you are not going to make $100 or more a day.

Just like Social Marketing is the current hot trend, come back to this thread a year from now and there will be a new marketing method to invest your time with. Marketing and research is an ongoing endeavor that does require hard work and effort.

I have a great niche with numerous sites and blogs within that niche, but getting to $100 per day seems to be difficult because of the ads not generating enough money.

I'm half way to $100 per day and will continue building my audience. I know I'll get there.

I believe the key to get from a "low-sum" to a $100 per day website is to be able to use manual advertisement. Approach a company give them a good deal(which you can do with still earning more than ad-sense). By using ad-sense you also accept that Google will rip you off. It is a typical average-product+massmarketing=success.

Try to offer deals such as "You get each ad for (ad-sense times 1.2) and you get it for 30 days". That way you will be getting an understanding of how much you can earn/how close you are to earning by using this way.

Whenever somebody says no, ask them why and you will get free answers to your questions from your own market.

honestly....its all these things: Online and offline distractions, lack of focus, information overload, not finishing projects, acting on bad information, always chasing the next best thing and never taking action, lack of motivation etc..

I just want a simple method I can do 2 hours a day at the least and 4 hours a day at the most and make $100 a day so I can get on with my life and start LIVING. I have no car man and I live in a stair closet and have 5 roommates...1 shower. I hate my life and $100 a day would change EVERYTHING.
