What's it take to become LLC, LTD, INC, etc???

    I'm just wondering, what does it take for someone to take their little business and form a LLC, LTD, INC company out of it?

    Does anyone know where I can find information? Are there costs?

    Just check your state's website; or call the state office. For me, it didn't take much time at all and it only cost $50 (I'm from michigan). There is no need to pay one of the companies $200 to do it.

    You'll want to get a SS-4 number from the IRS (just go to their site).

    After you have that and your new company papers, head to the bank to open an account.
