Hi Friends, It all began last week. I have been getting hundreds of emails every day. I don't know what is happening. Here is a sample mail. -------------------------------------------------------------------- "Hello, this is the PowerMTA mail server on Theoden.rhbss.com. I am sending you this message to inform you on the delivery status of a message you previously sent. Immediately below you will find a list of the affected recipients; also attached is a Delivery Status Notification (DSN) report in standard format, as well as the headers of the original message. <home@xyz.com> delivery failed; will not continue trying Final-Recipient: rfc822;home@xyz.com Action: failed Status: 5.0.0 (undefined status) Remote-MTA: dns;[10.200.40.121] (10.200.40.121) Diagnostic-Code: smtp;554 5.1.0 Sender Denied" -------------------------------------------------------------------- Any ideas whats going on? I had to delete more than 3500 such emails in the last 10 days.
This is called Spamming. Some of those emails may have virus and trojans so please beaware.. Which email account you are using?
I think someone just tricked you and made you give him your e-mail adress.Now he added it to a MailingList which is used for marketing purposes.Or for anything else
How come someone is using my domain to send thousands of unsolicited emails? The problem is huge. How did the spammer access my domain to send email to thousands of random email addresses. And it is happening everyday...
