What's is the best form of link building?

Hi,

What is the most effective form of link building taking into account speed, ease, relevancy, volume and link weight?

 

Posting on related forums with a signature. This method is easy and fast, posting on this forum has meant that I have even got a link back from a page rank two thread.

 

Pingbacks no doubt. You can't beat 20-30 automatice backlinks and 100s of unique visitors each time you write a new article.

 

I know I have tried link exchanges to no avail in the past. I like forums and you are right. The better your article the more readers will post to it and therefore wala and its free. Link exchange sites want you to add ugly codes that make your sites look like a classified newspaper. Linking back from forums is probably the best way and when people visit your site and like it they may link to you and/or bookmark you so it is a win win.

You write good content and if people like that, they will link to you, this one way linking is the best but a little difficult to achieve

 

I have a Wordpress blog http://www.marketappeal.co.uk/ can I get pingbacks from forums such as digitalpoint and article sites or just other blogs?

 

The best thing to do in my opinion is article marketing and forum posting on relevant forums and those which seem to have a few high PR pages like DP. I have seen relevance of directories go down more and more with each update so of course submit to DMOZ, Yahoo, and a few other (probably around 20) and you should get the most out of that as possible. Relevance and in-article seems to be key to ranking high now.

articles is a winner,also squidoo helps because it usually ends up on the first or second page with google.

 

Nothing goes fast with link building. The easier an link is obtained, the less weight it usually has.

there are different options for every special case. My rating is:
1) quality content
2) quality semantical XHTML/CSS markup
3) article distribution

 

I'd say forum posting is the best way to doing it.

 

I will say post replies and quality content related to your niche can help you alot . Always don't type simple reply try to make it conversation , ask new queries or type few more info about that post which authore have not mentioned . This will help you to get attention of others too .
