I got a blog that I've had for a long time. I post on it like about every 2 weeks or so. PR 2 currently, but traffic is little to none, probably like 2-3 unique per day. Any suggestions? What's the most important thing to get your blog seo up there. Also what's the best way to get more of your pages indexed? That alway boggles my mind.
It sounds like you need to spend some time each week getting more backlinks. If you are using a standard blog platform, the search engines should have no problem crawling and indexing your site. You probably have a bunch of pages in Google's supplemental index because they PR is too low. Work at getting more links to your homepage and possibly to internal pages and that problem should go away. You may also need to work on your keyword choice too.
Probably target a search term with high volume of search, ranking on that keyword that is base on your niche will definitely bring huge traffic to your site. Get a bunch of quality links from related sites and also don't forget to bookmark your articles.
Only part of your traffic (though in some cases a large part) should come from search engines. If you find search engines aren't getting you what you need, try other forms of marketing. Social bookmarking sites, forums (such as this one) that are relevant to your area, posting on other blogs or 'authority' sites in your line, etc. Traffic works best in multiple streams rather than relying solely on search engines, I feel. -Vish (Zephyr Writing).
I would try to build more back links to your blog and create more of a visitor awareness. The easiest way to do that, at least in my knowledge, is to talk on forums with your site in your signature .
Target a specif subject with targeted keyword. I would like to suggest you to find out a low competitor keyword regrading your subject.
First meta tags related to niche than add good keywords in tittle as well as first paragraph of your post . If i am wrong do correct me please .
What I worked on so far is some link building and also keyword stuff like metatags, title and all that stuff. I have not done that yet I don't think, not sure what it is. Is it important? What's social bookmarking and authority sites?
