Hey. I hear a lot of people they use Adobe Illustrator, a software that allows you to make Vectorial Graphics.

    What exactly is that ?

basically a vector graphic is a drawing made up of mathematical equations so when you make the vector bigger and smaller you dont loose any quality of the image,

whereas if you were to create an image photoshop (a bitmap) its like a grid of dots of colour that when you make bigger you can loose quality of the image as these dots are then expanded causing the image to begin to blur.

if you are going to make an image say a logo, it would be best to make it a vector so if it needs to be blown up to put on say a banner there will be no loss of quality to the image

    hope this helps
