It could be seasonal as well. Most sites seem to make make less during the summer months, so selling sites this time of the year with pricing based on the last couple of months' profit might not be the best decision to make.

I personally don't have a problem with the types of sites being sold here, even if they are new or of low quality. There is potential in anything if you know how to find it.

But what is up with all of these 1-3 week old proxy sites being sold lately? I have to laugh when the sellers claim they don't have time to run them, afterall running a free proxy takes so much time. And the prices being asked are as equally absurd as the reasons why they're being sold. What makes a 2 week old proxy, made with a free script, free template, and submitted to a couple dozen top sites worth 10x-12x monthly revenue? I don't get it.

But that's just my two cents.

I think they sell because its very difficult to get good hosts for proxy sites.

I think you're absolutely right chowboy, unless one it willing to front the cost of a dedicated server they should not even bother.
