Has anybody done anything worthwhile with the opensocial program? Last I heard it was announced back in Nov 2007 but I haven;t heard much from it since... the real big backer at the time was hi5 but they seem to have rocketed to the top of the charts... are they still strong supporters of it? Has anyone figured out how to cross authenticate between sites? Is it even possible?
Never heard about opensocial but i have heard about openid. Many big brands have embraced openid,so the momentum is just picking up.
Open social is used as a platform for social network applications, for those who don't know. And yes, it is currently being employed by Myspace, Bebo, Friendster and other players in the social networking industry. We develop open social applications, however the platform is not yet as stable as the Facebook API hope that helps
