Whats happening with .eu.com?

I have just seen on a domain registrar site that .eu.com's are available. But will it be another fiasco?
Are people pre-booking a name in hope of getting it? Most registrars don't even seem to have it listed.

Stay away from them. They change their TOS often and one day you may be fucked up. I heard from a friend that he had DNS issues with these domains and they are not even replying to mails. Actually only domain newbies will fall into the trap of .eu.com, .us.com domains. They are selling subdomains. Actually ICANN is selling subdomains of .com. These guys are selling subdomains of subdomains. You register us.us.com and start selling subdomains of subdomains fo subdomains like digitalpoint.us.us.com :D

.eu is already big. There are still domains that are available. You must have a valid eu address, but soem registrars will provide that for you. Landrush is been opened since April 7.

    hi,

eu.com is just domain that offers subdomain registration. You can see it is not affiliated with EU, any member states or whatsoever. It wasn't very popular even before we had .eu domains on the market.

    cheers
