What's happening to my site?

Hi,

I've had a recent sudden increase in traffic to my site. I don't think its the digg effect or anything like that as all the ip's are variations of:

74.6.X.X

It's on the forum: http://www.noddegamra.co.uk/forum

I have about 40 guests, then it goes down for a bit, then comes again. They seem to be viewing EVERY page/post/topic on the forum. Could it be someone trying to hack or copy my site data? Or a search bot for a personal search engine?

Any help/ideas I'd be very greatful

 

Have you tried to track the referrer url?
That might help you decide if it's legit traffic...or can be a DDOS attack too

 

whats a DDOS attack?

+ how do i track? + know if its legitamate traffic?

They arent signing up to the forum, so probs an attack of some sort?

 

Check your latest traffic logs and see the referring url.
