In my experience, MSN will drop rankings on pages with old content if a targetted page comes around with fresh content. Doesn't seem to last, but fresh content definitely gives a boost.

Don't take MSN for granted. It seems to jump around a lot more than either google or Yahoo.

My read is that Google jumps the most, then MSN, then Yahoo.....

It seems like Yahoo never changes. MSN seems to have a very temporary sandbox that whenever I change my page in the slightest, I lose rank for about a week then make a comeback.

For me, Google > MSN > Yahoo. MSN doesn't jump around as much for me, but when it does jump, they will sometimes completely take me out of the index, then a week later, I come back higher than before.

How often do you see MSN jump around?
