Some of my older coop sites are static in the top 5 for targeted terms and have been so for a few months

Some of my older coop sites are fluctuating up and down, in some cases between #1 for a targeted term, and then in the 400s or even worse

Some of my newer sites in the coop are showing up in top 10 for targeted terms

Some of my newer sites, with same weight as other newer sites, are NOT showing up for targeted terms

So there seems to be no detectable pattern going on. Some old sites retain position, some don't. Some newer sites get position, some don't. Frequency of visitation by Slurp doesn't seem to be an indicator that you're going to get placement. As I mentioned, iSHopHQ has been hit 22,000+ times in the past 3 months by Slurp, but only the home page shows in the index.

Thanks for the great post iShopHQ. I have checked my rankings with Yahoo just now...rock solid #1 under all keyphrases as I have been since I dumped 100/k in COOP weight on them 3 months ago.

The DP COOP is still a magic wand with Yahoo. For how log I wonder?

Thanks for the insite on the effect of co-op. Yahoo and MSN both seem to have a certain fondness for it.

Actually yahoo still adores the COOP but MSN is a little moody with it now. It seems that they are the first to follow in Google's footsteps.

Not having checked in a while, I went back to the dp checker and found most of my k/w are #1 in yahoo and have not changed. So I'm glad for that. I just hope it stays that way.

It looks like after joining the co-op that I gained some nice ranking in MSN. If they don't like the co-op, I am not seeing it.

It's not that they don't like it. It's that they like it more thatn Google but not as much as Yahoo. Somewhere in the middle. I am seeing a lesser effect with MSN though.
