What's going on with google search ?

a few days ago one of my website lost all visitor from google .i had 7000 visitors from google daily,and for a day and a half just 350 ?! and now things are getting back to normal,i get visitors like i used to .

today another website (downloadvyp.com ) started to have the same problem.from a few hours google just stoped sending ANY visitors .i get no visitors from google for a few hours .
how can this be ?

 

Is your site new or has it been around for a while?

 

There are a lot of possible for this kind of issues, but the main key is Domain Age / Website Age.

- If your site has less than two years old - Your site is still being considered for new and will has a highly chance for trapped with Google Sandbox.
- If your site has more than two years old - Your site is considered amateur and your site is likely for being filtered or penalized.

You should check these out

- Is your site still has an indexed pages in Google?
- Is your site still has link popularity in Google?
- Is your domain got #1 ranking when type domain name without extension?

 

Or - the site was down due to server problems.

 

Sites with warez or rapidshare links are not allow to use google adsense, thats why adsense is not allowed on warez sites, people still do it and risk being banned. try other affiliated, infolinks???

Advertisers would advertise if there was free software for their products available.

 

Google also likes to test out how websites perform now-a-days. They will put you on the first page for half the day or at least half the searches and the other half you will be on the 2nd page. They test to see what the visitors like.

thanks for the reply to everyone. well,my site is not that new,it has almost one year .it had no server problems. and,this is a google search problem-or change .because like i said,other website of mine,that is older,had this problem for a day and a half,after that everything got back to normal

 

You should use the 'site:mydomain.com' Google search operator to see how many pages on your website Google has in its index.

 

my website is well indexed.it is indexed as fast as i add an article

 

I gave up "wondering why" when it comes to Google. There often seems to be no reason for what they do at times.
I have some major phrases that climb to page one, sit there a couple of days, jump back to page ten for some unknown reason and climb back up over a week or so. Then repeat....

 

It is might because that Google is currently updating its ango. just wait some time.

 

Were you building mass backlinks? Changed something? Noticed something odd in the serps? Could be a bunch of factors here...

well,i hope is that .for more then 30 hours i got only a few visitors from google,and before i was getting like 2000 daily

 

every so often Google throws a spasm of sorts. Suddenly the number of pages indexed for any given query goes through the roof, rankings go wierd and nothing seems to make sense. Soon after, G takes it's meds and things get back to normal.

I have no idea why but that's how it seems to work. I had a site that was ranked #80, G had a spasm and shunted it to about 150 or so, then the next day it was at #8 and has been ever since. I think this happens when they make a significant change to the ranknig algo but can't say for sure.

I have similar problem. I had over 15000 visitors daily and then last week it droped to 10000.
Then i started building links and today I lost even more visitors from google.
This is 3 years old site. Should i still building links? Or is better to wait.
