I already know all this talk about the google dance and everything else. I'm one of the Admins of http://www.muscle-mustangs.com and we used to be one of largest mustang sites on the net. Anything you typed in google (Ford Mustang, Ford, 2005 mustang, Performance Parts, Mustang Photos, etc) we came up in the top 10! We were recieving about 3,000 uniques per day from google alone!

Nothing has changed dramaticaly on my site, but for the last two weeks, we are recieving about 25 uniques per day from google. EVERY other engine, we still rank #1 in for many terms. Even in google if you type: Muscle-Mustangs our site does not list. How strange is that? Our site was just respidered by google yesterday and our placement is still the same!

Any and all feedback would be great guys! Google is a huge part of my sites success!

Join the club. My main site used to get hundreds of visitors a day via google, now I'm down to single digit visitors. Not much you can do except wait it out and see what happens over the next few weeks.

Don't be HASTY! The Google update 'Jagger' is still in proccess and there is no point in worrying to heavily jus tyet until all your cards are delt.

The first update really stirred up a lot of problems for sites. Many sites vanished just like yours. The second part of Jagger is meant to correct that negative effect and the third part of Jagger is still a mystery to every SEO I know. Erik is right in just waiting it out.

Now is the time to capitalize on the contacts your site has already collected. Get your e-mail campaigns up and going and hit the Christmas shoppers good and hard.

I agree. With that strong site you must to have lot of lins from other sites and subscribed customers. Play on that card and you might be back in google in few months.

True, although we usually get about 3K uniques per day from google, we only get around 2K from yahoo, excite, reffereals, etc. So without google, it cut our website visitors by about 60% which is a stagering number.

I just read and it said if you have large amounts of incoming links, google now can penalize you or wipe your site completely off their system. Any truth to this since I'm using Digtal Points ad network? I have about 700 or so links comming in.

EDIT: Not sure why this just got moved to website reviews. I'm not asking for a review of my site lol. I'm asking about google placement! lol

This is the forum for asking about that stuff.

As for your situation I've been hit equally bad. We've been thrown out of the top 100 for a term we were third for and one that bought us hundreds of members each month. Hell, we don't even rank in the top 10 if you search for the name of our site.

I guess we've just got to wait it out. Luckily for me, Yahoo brings in 6 times as many people as Google, so we're still going reasonably strong. I can imagine that it's a lot worse for you.
