with the test tool i'm getting ads a completely different set of ads than what are actually being displayed on my site. which is the actual accurate one? the ad tool is displaying the ads i used to have (i moved hosts and domains), and i want those ones back since they were higher paying what i mean is nothing has changed and suddenly adsense is giving me cruddy ads. so has the spider just not hit yet?
From my experience, using preview tool on my PC will always give ads on Honda Cars or How To Save Petrol. No matter what is the website topic. But when uploaded, the correct ads appear.
It could be that it's due to geo-targeting. Did you change your domain name from a .com to a .co.?? or something like that?
no..but they're completely unrelated. also if i go to the site through a link i get the right ads. but if i type it in my browser i get the wrong ones
I can't see any problems. I don't know if some of your forum topics might be causing it. It's easy for Adsense to show lesser target ads when there are loads of topics.
oh i see what's going on. without the www it's showing the high paying ads, with www it shows the cheap one. i guess i just have to wait to get spidered again?
Well, you can always do a 301 re-direct and use only one version of you domain (www.domain.com instead of just domain.com) seeing as Google sees them as two different domains.
hmm......it's the other way around will it redirect www.domain.com/folder/index.php to domain.com/folder/index.php ? but i mean if i just wait will it eventually fix itself when the spider comes around again?
Yes, it can work the other way around as well. I'm not sure if it will fix it by itself. Perhaps give it a bit more time and see what happens, then consider doing a re-direct if all else fails.
well using google search, i took a look at the cache they have displayed. they only cached www. unluckily on the day i took the keywords out. how long does it take to get recached? and how do i do a 301 redirect? i tried it but it didn't work...it said it had gone over the redirect limit or something with cookies
