Do you know why a lot of these networks are starting to miss publisher payments?

Because this industry works on net 30. Net 30 really means in business right now, wait 30 days after you provide your service for a nice excuse and no payment. When an advertiser doesnt pay for the advertising, the ad network then has Costs on Adserving, Staff, Office Fees, and Most of all....the publisher payout. But when times are tough an you are serving huge campaigns and a few dont pay you per month. That is enough to kill a business.

Thats why we need to stop working in net 30, if you are working in CPM, its not performance based so the payment should be prepaid. I dont understand why everyone wants to pay up on net 30 and dont want to prepay, they say you might take the money and run. But what could they do during the 30 days? Adserving isnt exactly refundable, when the ad is served there is no taking it back. So who has it worse? This is a good topic to discuss because i feel that the smart companies right now are not doing net payments and in return their publisher payout is secure, and their ability to cover bills is also secure, and everyone is happy. The industry is going to start going in this direction if companies get smart.

    What do you think?

The best thing to do is generate $1k a week and get on weekly wires, that is much better than net30 ;)

Well im not necessarily talking from a publisher end. its the Advertiser to Network relationship which i am really talking about. As a publisher the Network you are with is in control. But if Networks could tidy up and start doing prepays. Publisher payments would be gaurenteed. No payment would be late or missed.
