What's better than Photobucket for photo uploading and storage space?

My wife is afraid of loosing our family photo's if they are stored on a hard drive or compact disk.

(We just lost an old hard drive while moving across the country that had tons if pictures on it that can't ever be replaced)

So I suggested photo bucket or Gmails, picasa. That way we can password protect our photo albums and theoretically, never lose them.

Plus, this way we can always be able to access them from anywhere in the world.

We are also slowly uploading my daughters award certificates, our passport copies, marriage certificate, insurance records, ect. for the same reasons.

    Here are my questions:

Q:Am I placing our records at risk of identity theft by doing this, even though I can password protect my accounts?

Q:Is there a better website we can use with more free space or a one time fee? (Maybe 10 gigs)

Photobucket provides 1 gig for free, but if you want more space, you must pay $40 per year (on going) for 10 gigs. I don't want to get stuck having to remember to pay or loose our stuff.

We can open multiple accounts with photo bucket, but I'd rather not if possible.

    Thanks.

Wal-mart is a good place to upload your images. They have an unlimited storage capacity, and you can print them out from any wal-mart that has a photolab. Lets say that you want to share some pictures with an uncle or aunt that lives 1,000 miles away. Just log into your wal-mart account, order the pictures and send them to a wal-mart photolab near them. In a couple of hours, they go get their pictures.

Need a copy of that birth certificate right now? Take a picture of it, upload it to wal-mart and have it printed from any wal-mart with a photolab.

My family has a shared wal-mart account. Meaning we all upload picture to it, then anyone can print them out. my wife uploads a picture of the grand kids. Then my wifes sister who lives 1,500 miles away can print them out when she wants.
