Hi , i have a few questions . I whant to make a website to give away something hot . What would be better , to start it with a blogspot website or with a dot.tk domain ? . I know getting traffic from google with blogspot isnt that hard but is it possible to rank on keywords with a dot.tk domain ? or get even SE traffic with a dot.tk domain ? Anyone has experience with this ? Greetz
I've never seen a .tk rank, Google loves blogger/blogspot blogs, because they own blogger, so I'm going to say blogger in this case.
go with blogspot... .tk is a country TLD. co.uk will help you rank better in UK and .es will rank you better in Spain. Go with .TK only if you plan to rank higher for people from Tokelau (that's like 1500 people)
Yeah its going to rank better in that place(some part of new zealand if i remember correctly) only and so it is better to go with a blogspot as they tend to rank higher than a .tk website.
blogspot is better. In starting .tk was just redirecting to an page and was not an domain itself. I am not sure whether you are allowed to add a nameserver on it thesedays. But ts better to use blogspot. if possible buy an .info domain its just $2 .
use blogspot. But i suggest use custom domain. When your site have good rank, and a lot of visitor, just move it into self hosting.

Blogspot is what you should go for if its a temporary gig. You can even setup blogspot in Google Webmasters so ranking for certain keywords is possible. On the contrary if you're looking at a permanent site - nothing beats a .com domain.
