What are you asking? If a subdomain gets luv? or how to add one.... not sure what the question you are asking is... thx malcolm
i have the option for my dating site to show my profiles like mysite.com/example or example.mysite.com whats better, having each profile as a subdomain or this way mysite.com/example.
Well i guess it depends on your needs We have our biz-giant directory set up as http://directory.biz-giant.com cause its a totally different site. If you are creating different categories or sections within the same site then i suggest doing .com/whatever_section.html since its the same site. I hope i understood correctly thx malcolm
i agree with the above, google used to treat sub-domains as different sites (according to weight) although I guess this is changing now!
Both will be just fine but it really depends on what are your needs... just like other said subdomain (example.mysite.com) is just like another site and usually use as portal while subpages good as showing subcategories of your main site... both are just fine with seo and depends on effectiveness of strategies.
If you wanna make your categories as a new site, then go for subdomains, otherwise, stick with sub directories. It will make your site look neat.
Directories are the best because you get the benefit of the homepage strength. A subdomain is treated like a brand new site, so you have to get it indexed and build links from scratch.
mysite.com/example is better because it's the same site. Subdomains are treated by google as different sites.
example.mysite.com - is better as a new site, that is different from the main site. mysite.com/example - is better as a sub page for the main site. Good luck
floder option is better if you want more pages added to the main domain, and more love from google if you want to keep it as a separate project you should use the subdomain method
