Ive got a pr4 and want to start up a very friendly link page - i was wondering where is the best place to install it would it be best to have linkspage.nameofsite.com or nameofsite.com/linkspage does google have any preferences or which one would be best to keeps the pr of the site any ideas
A bogs said - subdomains are more "separated" from the other, and doesn't pass pr so well, like inner pages.
You can use the subdomain if you want to get that page indexed and into the search results faster. From what I have seen, google treats the subdomains as new sites and indexes the first page on them instantly. Please note that too many subdomains may get you filtered.
subdomains will be treated as individual sites by SEs but subfolders, pages will be treated as the part of main domain.
The way I understand it the sub domain (linkspage.nameofsite.com) would be looked at by google as a separate domain and the other (nameofsite.com/linkspage) as a folder within a site. Which is better would depend on how it is going to be used.
I agree that blank.com/blank is better. I think google sees it as more of an extension of your website. blank.blank.com could be a different user or site entirely in their eyes.
If it is sub page, it is better you use blank.com/blank because Google will count blank.blank.com as sub domain. Good luck
links are always better placed as a separate file rather than a subdomain. You'll see better results.
