Whats better Ad Unit Or Link Unit??

I noticed that link units take you to google search results/paid advertisers.
Do we get paid per click on those?

I noticed also that Ad units pay instant pay per clicks.....

is this right and are link units very worth while??

Ad units for me. As said, link units need two clicks

 

I'm getting rid of link units here in a few days. The CPC is ridiculously low.

I myself have never used the link ads while browsing a web site, but i do click on adsense ads when i find them interesting.

The only good thing about the link ads I like, is that they match the words user entered in the search engine before landing on your web page.

 

Best way to find out is to experiment yourself. Link units don't do so well for me, but apparently work for a lot of other people.

I make more off of ad units, however, link units should not be overlooked. If you can incorporate them into your site, use them.

 

I make far more money with ad units than with link units but I use both.

 

as far as i can tell, link unit is cheaper than ad unit.

 

Ad units pay per single click while link units need 2 clicks. For me Link units still get more clicks because I have put them on the very top right under header, and its kinda hard to miss. I also get higher than usual pay per click in these.

My revenue is split about 65units/35links, with about 10 downloads of firefox a month.
